My account at Conversations has verified correctly for some time, until recently. It now fails with the message
Proof link: not accessible from browser
This is true for both the web at keyoxide.org, and for the keyoxide android app...
Proof Link - not accessible from app.
In both instances, the claim verification has completed, and the claim COULD NOT BEEN (sic) verified by the proof. For what it is worth, verification attempts have been made from behind a VPN with varied IP addresses, and from the Tor Browser, also behind varied IPs. I have no on-going functional reason to believe IP addresses are causing trouble at conversations.im.
Q1: has anyone else run into this new verification fail, and found a resolution?
Q2: trust but verify proof and claim formats, if anyone would be so kind...
(a) in the XMPP Ariadne Proof Utility, the inserted proof in the conversations xmpp account is of the form
aspe:keyoxide.org:fingerprint
(The proof utility shows the insertion; log-out and new log-in validate the proof is, indeed, inserted. Also, I reset the node and started over. I have now also tried just fingerprint rather than the full aspe string, but to no avail.)
(b) The Keyoxide claim is of the form
xmpp:XMPP_ID
where
XMPP_ID = username@conversations.im
