Now, in the best case scenario, we won't need to do any work! If we manage to get universal activitypub verification [1] working.

Since universal activitypub verification got shipped I'm marking this as resolved! 
To verify your PeerTube account simply use the generic activitypub service provider: https://docs.keyoxide.org/service-providers/activitypub/
